Denver’s superintendent is slicing dozens of positions from the central workplace in a discount that may save Denver Public Faculties $9 million, in line with an electronic mail obtained by Chalkbeat.

Superintendent Alex Marrero described the cuts in an electronic mail despatched to district employees Tuesday. They whole no less than 76 positions and embody 15 executive-level jobs.

The cuts are a part of a reorganization Marrero introduced in February. With districtwide enrollment anticipated to say no by 6% within the subsequent three years and the district contemplating closing some faculties, Marrero has stated the central workplace was focused for proportional cuts.
