Mumbai police on Thursday registered an FIR towards senior IPS officer Param Bir Singh, 5 different police personnel and two others for demanding Rs 15 crore from the builder, an official stated on Thursday.
Based mostly on the builder’s grievance, the case was registered on the Marine Drive police station in south Mumbai, he stated.
The accused within the case are 5 different police accused – DCP (Crime Department) Akbar Pathan, Inspector Shrikant Shinde, Asha Kork, Nandkumar Gopal and Sanjay Patil, the official stated. Two of the builder’s companions, Sunil Jain and Sanjay Punmiya, have been arrested within the case, he stated. In response to the grievance, Jain and Punmiya had conspired with the cops and demanded Rs 15 crore from the builder to withdraw some instances towards them, he stated.
The official stated the builder had named former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Birsingh amongst others in his grievance.
