Google of Alphabet Inc. advised its staff they’d lose their salaries and finally be fired if they didn’t adjust to its COVID-19 vaccination guidelines, CNBC reported on Tuesday, citing inside paperwork.

A memo circulated by Google’s management states that staff had till December 3 to declare their vaccination standing and add documentary proof or apply for medical or non secular immunity.

After that date, Google stated it will start contacting staff who haven’t uploaded their standing or been vaccinated and whose waiver requests haven’t been accepted, CNBC reviews.

Workers who don’t adjust to vaccination guidelines by January 18 shall be positioned on “paid administrative depart” for 30 days, adopted by six months of “unpaid private depart” and termination, CNBC reported.

Google didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark by Reuters.

Earlier this month, Google postponed its office-to-office plans indefinitely amid fears of an Omicron variant and a few resistance from its staff to necessary vaccinations by the corporate. Earlier, he had anticipated employees to return to the workplace about three days per week from January 10.
