Second spherical of Travelers Championship brings large crowds

CROMWELL, Conn. (WTNH) — Happening as of late, it is the second one spherical of the Travelers Championship. Day one was once a luck with nice climate and large crowds.

A reputation you recognize, and one you most likely do not, are tied on the peak of the leaderboard at this time. One of them had large crowds following him round the day prior to this morning — Rory McIlroy. He is ranked 2nd on this planet, and gave the impression to get well all day, with birdies on all 4 of the final holes of the spherical. So did J.T. Poston.

McIlroy mentioned Travelers is a pleasant alternate of tempo from the high-pressure US Open final week.

“It’s just like the anti-US Open right here, you recognize, it is like, it is like US Open rehabs,” McIlroy mentioned. “Come in right here. Yeah, I will. I will in fact make some birdies. This is good. So I. I really like coming right here. The week after the U.S. Open, it type of offers you a chance to shoot little rankings and and get after it. And and that’s the reason great.”

Right at the back of McIlroy and Poston are Xander Schaufele and Martin Laird. They are each at 7 underneath. Patrick Cantlay, Webb Simpson, and Chalers Howell all at minus 6 getting into to spherical two.
