These cars will not only reduce the damage caused to our environment, but it will also come with more useful advancements as we are going to learn from this article. Car makers are all set to come up with the best version of these types of cars to cash in on the competition in the market. This will benefit the customer in the long run as they will be spoiled for choice in terms of which company’s cars have better attractive character to suit their needs.

These vehicles are already in the market but in select countries of the world. Actual receipt of more cars on our roads is expected in early 2018. Companies like General Motors are said to be preparing to release their Chevrolet EV within a few weeks from now. Nissan is said to be close to releasing its EV before 2020.

Volkswagen showcased their electronic car model which they are calling the e-Golf ID at an exhibition in France recently. It is one of the first to be produced by their group—modular electric drive kits (MEB) that deal exclusively with electric cars. They are set to release it in 2020 and production will begin in 2025.

Its range is expected to be 400-600km. The id electric motor is expected to be mounted at the rear of the car. This will allow the front end to make a lighter turning circle. The id will also have a pilot mode. This means that the car will have the option of self-drive. This will give the driver time to chat with passengers or do other things.

Its horsepower will be put in the rear, there will be zero emotion and very little noise which is great for environmental protection.

Surprisingly the ID will not have any door mirrors which are commonly known as side mirrors. It will have an inbuilt camera on the front which will give you a picture of how your rear, right and left look.

The headlights are something that will get you excited. They watch and signal to the driver when the ID is in pilot mode. They will also see pedestrians and other road users as well as turn in the direction the car wants to go. Isn’t it amazing? We are soon going to see that great future.
