US Warns China After Standoff With Philippines In South Chin

America has stated it’s working with its Philippine counterparts to keep up the rules-based worldwide maritime order (FIL).

America on Friday warned China following a standoff within the South China Sea between China and the Philippines, saying it was with Manila amid “development that straight jeopardizes regional peace and stability.”

U.S. State Division spokesman Ned Worth stated in a press release that Beijing “mustn’t intervene in respectable Philippine actions within the unique financial zone of the Philippines.”

On Thursday, the Philippines condemned within the strongest phrases the actions of three Chinese language Coast Guard ships, saying it used water cannons on a provide boat heading to the Philippine-occupied Atoll within the South China Sea.

“America stands with our Philippine allies in sustaining the rules-based worldwide maritime system and reaffirms that an armed assault on Philippine public ships within the South China Sea would name for U.S. mutual protection commitments,” Worth stated.

“America strongly believes that the actions of the PRC (Individuals’s Republic of China) emphasize its intensive and illegitimate maritime claims to the South China Sea and undermine peace and safety within the area,” he added.
