Along with being highly reliable, the motor will last for a very long time. Too few moving parts to worry about can go wrong. An electric motor consists of a coil and drive-shaft, as opposed to the hundreds of moving parts in a conventional combustion engine.

It is possible that your taxes will be lower, as many countries will give you tax breaks and other incentives for green motoring. In the UK where other cars have to pay an annual road tax, the tax for electric vehicles is nil.
