Honda 2W Records 5.68 Lakh Sales in Sep 2025 – Domestic Up, Exports Surge 32%

Honda’s Two-Wheeler Sales Hit 5.68 Lakh in September 2025: Exports Lead the Charge

Hey folks, if you’re keeping tabs on the Indian two-wheeler scene, Honda’s got some solid news to share. Last month, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) moved 5.68 lakh units, that’s a nice bump of 5.44% from the same time last year when they sold 5.39 lakh. Breaking it down, domestic sales edged up 2.85% to 5.06 lakh units—steady, nothing wild. But exports? They really kicked things into gear, jumping 32.43% to 62,471 units, making up about 11% of the total.

Compared to August, things looked even better, with overall sales up 6.23% from 5.35 lakh units. Domestic numbers rose 5.13%, and exports climbed 16.03%. Looking at the bigger picture for Q2 of fiscal year 2026 (July to September), Honda tallied 16.18 lakh units, a 3.69% gain over last year’s 15.61 lakh. Domestic was up a modest 2.15% to 14.53 lakh, while exports grew 19.54% to 1.65 lakh. Year-to-date through September, though, it’s a mixed bag—total sales at 29.91 lakh units, down 3.94% from 31.14 lakh last year. The domestic market dipped 5.54% to 26.80 lakh, but exports kept shining with a 12.51% rise to 3.12 lakh. All in all, it’s clear exports are carrying the load amid some softer home demand, but festive season vibes might turn that around soon.

On the safety front, HMSI rolled out road awareness drives in 13 cities like Mumbai and Ahmedabad, plus marked anniversaries for their Safety Driving Education Centers in places like Vizag and Kozhikode. CSR-wise, the Honda India Foundation donated 50 quick-response vehicles to Gujarat Police under the ‘Sadak Sahayak’ initiative to boost emergency help on roads.

Product news? They unveiled the CB350C Special Edition for Rs. 2.02 lakh (ex-showroom in Bengaluru)—bookings are live at BigWing dealers. Oh, and the new ‘MyHonda-India’ app is here to make owning a bike smoother with all the digital perks. In racing, Honda was all over MotoGP in Catalonia, San Marino, and Japan, and they hosted Round 3 of the IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup on the CB300F right here in Chennai. Exciting times—keeps the adrenaline pumping.
