If a Student Is On a Pell Grant At College and Cheats On…

[ad_1]

In the summer of 2012, it was revealed that a prominent Ivy League school, known to all, caught about 125 kids cheating on final exams. Well, this should make taxpayers extremely upset, because many of those kids are on Pell grants, or have taken out student loans that are partially guaranteed by citizens. Next the kids are going to Harvard, where it happened in a class titled; ′′ Introduction to Congress ′′ is no less, maybe growing up will become an important leader of our civilization and society. So, it’s a very scary thought.

One thing that really bothers me is that more people don’t bother with this, why do I ask? Well, maybe because they all cheat in college too, so, I guess it’s customary in their minds. Maybe it is, but if a kid is on a federal scholarship and gets caught cheating he is defrauding the taxpayer, stealing your and my money because we own the government’s debt. So shouldn’t it be a crime? And even if it is a low level felony, at least it will be fully documented that they are cheaters.

Some say that it is not fair to stigmatize people for life, that we are a forgiving society. Yes, maybe, but any student caught cheating on a Pell Grant should at least have that money returned immediately and kicked out of the school, and replaced by a more deserving soul , who really needs some help and deserves the slot . see that point?

If a student is on a guaranteed student loan, it should be required that they pay it off in full immediately after the fraud is caught. If they cannot pay, they should be kicked out of school and denied any loans, or government services, for life until they are paid. If their parents co-signed that loan, we should be able to seize their assets. Harsh yes, but you know what; We want justice. It is not right that children are cheating and using our money to do so. Some say it is not the parents’ fault. Bull, I say, sure, they’ve raised kids to be cheaters, why should we pay?

Worse, if these kids are going to Ivy League schools and making all the best friends in high places, they’ll be running corporations, and involved in high levels of government then why pay us twice if they cheat in the future? Should we have stopped things back when we could? Please consider all this and consider it.
