Kia Syros HTK (EX) Trim Launched, Priced From Rs. 9.89 Lakhs

Kia Syros HTK (EX) Variant Launched in India: Priced from Rs. 9.89 Lakh with Sunroof & More Features

Kia India has expanded the Syros compact SUV lineup with the introduction of a new mid-spec HTK (EX) trim, priced from Rs. 9.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant bridges the gap between the entry-level HTK and higher trims, offering enhanced features at a more accessible price point while maintaining the Syros’ strong value proposition.

Here are sleek images of the Kia Syros HTK (EX) in action, showcasing its bold design and premium touches:

The HTK (EX) is available in both turbo-petrol and diesel options, with manual transmissions only (no automatic in this trim). Pricing details:

  • HTK (EX) 1.0L Turbo-Petrol MT: Rs. 9.89 lakh
  • HTK (EX) 1.5L Diesel MT: Rs. 10.64 lakh (some sources list Rs. 10.63 lakh; minor variation possible by state)

This positions the new trim Rs. 50,000 above the HTK (O) variant it is based on, but it adds meaningful upgrades that were previously reserved for higher grades.

Key Features Added in HTK (EX)

The variant focuses on exterior styling, convenience, and tech without compromising the Syros’ core strengths (like its 5-star BNCAP rating, spacious cabin, and practical boot).

  • Exterior: Full LED lighting (LED DRLs, LED headlamps, LED taillamps) + 16-inch alloy wheels (dual-tone on petrol, standard on diesel)
  • Comfort & Convenience: Single-pane electric sunroof, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, electrically adjustable & foldable ORVMs, rear parking camera with sensors
  • Safety: 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), TPMS, ISOFIX child seat anchors
  • Other: Streamlined door handles, rear parking sensors, premium interior touches

No mechanical changes—powertrains remain the same as the rest of the Syros range:

  • 1.0L Turbo-Petrol: 118 bhp, 172 Nm (6MT)
  • 1.5L Diesel: 114–116 bhp, 250 Nm (6MT)

The Syros now offers seven trims overall (HTK, HTK (O), HTK (EX), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, HTX+ (O)), with prices ranging from Rs. 8.67 lakh to Rs. 15.94 lakh (ex-showroom).

Kia India highlighted that the HTK (EX) responds to customer feedback for better-equipped mid-level options without jumping to premium pricing. Atul Sood, Sr. VP – Sales & Marketing, Kia India, noted: “Customer insights guide every product decision… delivering meaningful value.”

This launch strengthens the Syros in the highly competitive compact SUV segment against rivals like Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Kia Sonet.

Bookings are open, and deliveries are expected to start soon. If you’re eyeing a feature-packed sub-10 lakh SUV, the HTK (EX) looks like a compelling choice!
