Paige DeSorbo Freezes 13 Eggs Over Mother’s Day Weekend: “I Feel Less Pressure” About Future Motherhood
Reality TV star Paige DeSorbo has opened up about taking a proactive step toward her future family plans by undergoing an egg-freezing procedure in May 2025.
The Summer House star, now 32, revealed details of the process during the May 14, 2025 episode of her popular Giggly Squad podcast with co-host Hannah Berner. While she made it clear she is not currently pregnant and is not rushing into motherhood, she wants to keep her options open as she focuses on her career.
Paige shared that she chose to freeze her eggs over Mother’s Day weekend, describing the timing as “serendipitous.” She underwent hormone injections starting May 7 and had the egg retrieval procedure on May 9 at Extend Fertility clinic in New York City.
The entire retrieval process took only about 20 minutes, during which doctors successfully retrieved 28 eggs. Of those, 13 survived and were frozen for future use — a number Paige described as “really good.”
She praised her reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Joshua Klein, co-founder of Extend Fertility, saying he made her feel smart and supported throughout the experience. “He was amazing,” she said. “Every time he said ‘Good question’ to me, I was like, ‘I’m a good student.’”
Paige admitted the hormonal treatments leading up to the procedure were intense and emotionally draining, which is common with egg freezing. She noted that the process took a significant toll on her body and said she would not consider doing it again for several months, as she wants to give her body time to recover.
Reflecting on the decision, Paige explained that walking around New York City right after the procedure made her feel unusually protective. “If anyone steps to me right now with my eggs just brewing and ready to be taken out, I’ll f—king cut someone,” she joked on the podcast.
The Summer House cast member has previously spoken about wanting to become a mother someday, ideally around age 39 or 40. By freezing her eggs now, she feels significantly less pressure about her biological clock. “Even if I only have one child, that is what is meant for the world,” she shared.
Paige and her ex-boyfriend Craig Conover, from Southern Charm, broke up in 2024 after dating for several years. The couple had reportedly discussed marriage and children before the split. Both have since moved on with their lives, and Paige is now prioritizing her career while keeping the door open for future motherhood.
Fertility experts generally recommend using frozen eggs within about 10 years of retrieval, which aligns well with Paige’s current timeline.
Fans of the Bravo star have reacted positively to her transparency about the egg-freezing journey, with many praising her for taking control of her reproductive future on her own terms.
As Paige continues appearing on Summer House Season 9 and working on other projects, she appears focused, confident, and at peace with where she stands regarding family planning.
