August 21, 2025 – The Ropes & Gray Investment Management Survey Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is designed to encourage participation in the firm’s annual survey, which gathers insights on trends and challenges in the investment management industry. Below are the official terms and conditions for participation in the Sweepstakes, outlining eligibility, entry procedures, prizes, and other key details.
1. Sponsor
The Sweepstakes is sponsored by Ropes & Gray LLP, a global law firm with principal offices at 800 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02199, USA (“Sponsor”).
2. Eligibility
The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry and are employed in the investment management industry (e.g., professionals at registered investment advisers, mutual funds, private funds, or related entities). Employees, officers, and directors of Ropes & Gray LLP, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (spouses, parents, siblings, children) or household members are not eligible to participate. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
3. Entry Period
The Sweepstakes begins on August 1, 2025, at 12:01 AM Eastern Time (ET) and ends on September 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET (the “Entry Period”). Entries received outside this period will not be considered.
4. How to Enter
To enter the Sweepstakes, participants must:
- Complete the Ropes & Gray Investment Management Survey in its entirety. The survey is accessible online via a secure link provided by Ropes & Gray LLP.
- Provide a valid business email address and contact information at the end of the survey.
- Opt-in to the Sweepstakes by checking the designated box in the survey form.
Only one entry per person is permitted. Multiple entries from the same individual, including those using different email addresses, will be disqualified. Entries generated by automated means, bots, or other fraudulent methods are void. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win.
5. Prizes
Three (3) prizes will be awarded:
- Grand Prize (1 winner): A $1,000 Amazon.com gift card.
- Second Prize (1 winner): A $500 Amazon.com gift card.
- Third Prize (1 winner): A $250 Amazon.com gift card.
The approximate retail value (ARV) of all prizes is $1,750. Prizes are non-transferable, non-assignable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize becomes unavailable. All federal, state, and local taxes associated with the receipt or use of any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
Winners will be selected by a random drawing conducted by the Sponsor on or about October 15, 2025, from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries. Winners will be notified via the business email address provided in the survey within five (5) business days of the drawing. If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days of notification or is found to be ineligible, an alternate winner may be selected at the Sponsor’s discretion.
7. Conditions of Participation
By entering the Sweepstakes, participants agree to:
- Abide by these Official Terms and Conditions and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding.
- Release and hold harmless Ropes & Gray LLP, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability, loss, or damage arising from participation in the Sweepstakes or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.
- Allow the Sponsor to use their name, likeness, and/or company name for promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
8. Privacy
Personal information collected during the Sweepstakes will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Sweepstakes and in accordance with Ropes & Gray LLP’s privacy policy, available at www.ropesgray.com/en/privacy-policy. Survey responses will be anonymized and used for research purposes only, unless explicit consent is provided for other uses.
9. General Conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor’s control impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes. In such cases, the Sponsor may award prizes from all eligible entries received prior to cancellation or suspension. Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Limitations of Liability
The Sponsor is not responsible for: (a) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, or illegible entries; (b) technical failures, including network or server issues; (c) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process; or (d) any injury or damage to persons or property resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt of a prize.
11. Disputes
Any disputes arising from the Sweepstakes will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles. Participants agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration in Boston, Massachusetts, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. All claims must be brought in the participant’s individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative proceeding.
12. Winner List
To request the names of the winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Ropes & Gray LLP, Attn: Investment Management Survey Sweepstakes, 800 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02199, by November 30, 2025.
