Royal Enfield Smashes Sales Records in September 2025: A Festive Kickoff to Remember
Hey folks, if you’re into motorcycles, you’ve probably heard the buzz around Royal Enfield lately. Well, buckle up because the Indian bike maker just posted its best month ever in September 2025. They moved 124,328 units total, that’s a solid 43% jump from the 86,978 they sold back in September 2024. Even compared to August, sales ticked up 9% from 114,002 units. It’s clear the momentum is building, especially with the holiday season ramping up.
Breaking it down, the bread-and-butter sub-350cc bikes led the charge with 107,478 units sold – up 43% year-over-year from 75,331. The bigger 350cc-plus models weren’t far behind at 16,850 units, growing 45%. At home in India, domestic sales hit 113,573, a 43% increase, while exports climbed 41% to 10,755 units. Month-to-month, local numbers rose 10.4%, though shipments abroad dipped a touch by 3.3%.
Zooming out to the second quarter of fiscal 2026, Royal Enfield wholesaled 326,375 bikes – a whopping 43% more than the 227,872 from last year. Sub-350cc kept shining at 282,156 units (up 46%), and the over-350cc crew added 44,219 (up 27%). Domestic stayed strong with 292,703 units (+42%), and exports really popped at 33,672, a 55% gain.
Year-to-date through September, it’s even more impressive: 591,903 units total, 30% ahead of last year’s 454,779. Sub-350cc accounted for 509,610 (+32%), over-350cc hit 82,293 (+22%). Home sales grew 27% to 521,482, and exports surged 60% to 70,421 – proof the world’s catching the Royal Enfield fever.
B. Govindarajan, the CEO, summed it up nicely: “It’s been an incredible start to the festive season… we’ve crossed 100,000+ retail volumes and announced the upgraded Meteor 350, which is getting a great response. We’re confident about the growth ahead.”
