The footage, originally aired on January 29, 2023, drew backlash for Bhanot’s perceived insensitivity, with fellow contestant Archana Gautam accusing him of “destroying” the public images of Tina Datta and Soundarya Sharma.
In the episode, hosted by Farah Khan, Bhanot expressed relief to Shiv Thakare and MC Stan in the garden area, saying he felt “free” from drama after Tina’s exit. Archana, in a heated kitchen conversation with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, criticized Bhanot, stating, “One person destroyed both their images. Soundarya left disappointed, and Tina went the same way because of Shalin. He’s trying to look good, but he’ll regret this.” Tina, post-eviction, told Bombay Times she faced backlashes in the house, limiting her gameplay.
The resurfaced clip, trending on X, reignited debate. Users called Bhanot’s behavior “callous,” with one post reading, “Shalin’s dancing after Tina’s exit was cold.” Others defended him, citing the show’s high-pressure environment.
