TVS Motor’s September Sales Zoom Past 5.4 Lakh Units – Steady Climb Continues

Hey folks, if you’re keeping an eye on the two-wheeler world, TVS Motor just dropped some solid numbers for September 2025. They moved a total of 541,064 units, which is a nice bump of 12.14% from the 482,495 they sold back in September 2024. Compared to August’s 509,536, that’s up about 6.19% too. Not bad for kicking off what could be a busy fall.

Diving into the two-wheeler side, where the real action is, TVS clocked 523,923 units – an 11.05% jump year-over-year from 471,792. Motorcycles led with 249,621 sold, up 8.88% from last year. Scooters did even better at 218,928 units, a 17.23% rise. Electric scooters held steady with 31,266, growing 8.18%, though mopeds took a slight dip to 55,374, down 0.72%. Month-over-month, motorcycles grew 12.51%, e-scooters jumped 24.38%, and mopeds rose 18.77%. Scooters slipped a bit by 1.52%, and exports dropped 9.25% to 110,644 units.

Over in three-wheelers, things looked brighter. Sales hit 17,141 units, a strong 60.15% increase from 10,703 last September. Domestic numbers more than doubled to 5,677 – that’s 141.57% up – while exports climbed 37.24% to 11,464. But month-to-month, it was a softer 8.57% decline, with exports down 14.71%.

Zooming out to Q2 of fiscal year 2026 (July through September), TVS smashed records with 1,506,950 total units sold – up 22.69% from 1,228,223 the year before. Two-wheelers drove it at 1,453,501 units (22.11% growth), with motorcycles at 672,985 (+20%), scooters at 639,489 (+30.41%), e-scooters at 80,009 (+6.51%), and mopeds at 141,027 (+1.38%). Three-wheelers added 53,449, up 40.97%, with domestic sales surging 122.32% to 15,985 and exports up 21.94% to 37,464.

All in all, TVS is riding high on demand for bikes and scooters, especially at home. With festivals around the corner and those recent GST tweaks in play, expect the good times to roll into the next few months.
