Villa Pamphili, woman from Russia to those who saw it “and my daughter the dead unknown”

A Russian woman contacted the Italian TV program Chi l’ha visto? claiming to be the mother of a young woman found dead in Rome’s Villa Pamphili park on June 7, 2025, alongside her six-month-old daughter. She identified her daughter as Anastasia, a 30-year-old who had gone to Malta to study English, where she met a man known as Rexal Ford, later revealed to be Francis Kaufmann, a 46-year-old American arrested in Greece.

The mother last spoke to Anastasia via video call on May 27, 2025, when Kaufmann assured her he was a good person intending to start a family. On June 2, Anastasia emailed her mother, mentioning issues with Kaufmann but saying they were working to resolve them. The baby’s name was Andromeda, later called Lucia. The mother provided a photo of Anastasia’s foot tattoo, matching one shown by police, as evidence.
